Ladera Elementary
Our History
Ladera Elementary School first opened its doors in the fall of 2001 as part of the Tustin Unified School District. Our name, Ladera, means “hillside” in Spanish — a fitting name for a school built into the character of its community. Today, Ladera is proud to be recognized as a California Distinguished School, carrying on more than two decades of learning, growth, and Leopard pride.

We Are 25 Years Strong!
In 2026, Ladera Elementary celebrates 25 years of learning, growth, and Leopard pride since first opening our doors in 2001. Here's to a quarter century of curiosity, collaboration, and community — and many more years to come!
Leopard Pride
Our mascot is Leo the Leopard, and our school colors — red, black, and white — show up everywhere from our hallways to our newsletters to our Friday spirit wear.
